- Abstract
- The CASI is an airborne pushbroom imaging spectrograph sensitive in the visible and near infrared portion of the spectum. The ability to reliably obtain calibrated radiances at high spectral and spatial resolution is crucial to many of the imaging spectroscopy studies that are being carried out with this instrument. This report describes a new calibration procedure that has been developed in order to improve the accuracy with which the casi can be calibrated while at the sme time simplifing the approach. This simplification of the algorithms has allowed a more detailed investigation of the individual steps of the calibration to be carried out, the results of which are presented here. The accuracy and signal to noise levels resulting from use of the new procedures are also assessed.
