Abstract
The report discusses the use of nuclear energy to lessen the vulnerability of the industrialized nations to Middle East oil import dependency. By the year 2000, nuclear energy could provide about 25% of the global energy requirements. Shortfalls in uranium ore, uranium enrichment capacity and manpower could however severely impede the orderly and timely expansion of the nuclear industry.
