Abstract
The reaction between ClO and NO2 is now believed to have significance in the photochemistry of the stratospheric ozone layer. The rate constant of this process was measured using a discharge flow technique, with He as a buffer gas, at 300 K between 5 and 21 torr pressure. Under these conditions, the reaction is in its third-order limit.
