Abstract
The Defence Scientific Information Service (DSIS) has designed and implemented an automated Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) system in order to supply the defence community with up-to-date announcements of scientific and technical reports. The report explains the purpose of the SDI system, the procedures used and the information flow. The functional report components describe the manual input and output operations and the automated procedures. The logical report components describe the input/output features, the computer programs and the control features. A workflow diagram, glossary of terms and references are also given.
