Abstract
The study, as originally conceived, attempted to produce an empirically-based index of the relative skill and hazard involved in the duties of each of the present trades and classifications in the Canadian Forces. The intent was to aid the sponsor in formulating an improved policy for the awarding of what are known as "skill and hazard badges". The project summarizes the work completed to date on the project and suggests three alternative approaches which could satisfy the initial intent of the project.
