Abstract
A communications network for the Canadian Forces, in which static subscribers have access to the trunk system through telephones, and mobile users through radio centrals, is described. A method based on alternative routing in a network and queueing theory has been presented to assess the grade of service of the system. The routing part has been implemented in ALGOL 60 on the CYBER 174 computer and is detailed here. The queueing theory portion and a simulation remains for future work.
