Abstract
The report is the user's manual for the Fortran program SUBMO (submarine motion in waves). SUBMO was developed to predict the motion response, in the frequency domain, of a submarine advancing at an arbitrary depth of immersion in either unidirectional or short-crested seas. It computes the five-degree-of-freedom motions about the centre of gravity plus motion statistics for a number of arbitrary hull-fixed points. This guide outlines the algorithms which comprise SUBMO, and specifies input data formats. Sample input and output are included.
