Abstract
SAPLOT (Surveillance Acoustics PLOTting) is a computer software package designed to produce graphical output for scientists at Defence Research Establishment Atlantic (DREA). The package was written to produce publication quality plots from ASCII text files containing plot commands and numeric plot data. The purpose and motivation for this software is more fully described by Philip Staal in "SAPLOT Scientific Graphic Software, History and Overview". The document is designed as a user's guide for people wishing to use the package to produce graphical output. Also included is a brief discussion of the few machine-dependant sections of the code. Changes required when the code is to be transported from one type of computer to another are indicated.
