Abstract
The primary concern of the report is the development of ductilized aerospace alloys based on titanium aluminides which may serve as matrix materials for high temperature structural composites. The NiAl and TiAl systems and structures are reviewed and the mechanical properties of NiAl and TiAl intermetallic single crystals and polycrystals at room temperature and high temperatures are summarized.
