Abstract
The compressive response of quasi-isotropic laminates with a single hole was studied experimentally. The experiment focused on the characterization of damage development at the hole edge using the ultrasonic time-of-flight C-scan method and penetrant-enhanced X-radiography. The objectives were to determine the mechanisms of damage development and to establish appropriate theoretical models for the prediction of compressive failure.
