Abstract
The compendium of resources on non-offensive defence (NOD) reflects the current collection of data in an ongoing effort to compile a comprehensive listing of references and current research on military doctrines. The bibliography attempts to include all relevant papers dealing with the concepts and various proposals of non-offensive defence (also referred to as 'defensive defence', 'non-provocative defence' and 'structural inability to launch an attack'). As the emerging military doctrines of Central and Eastern European countries contain elements relevant to this subject, there are also selected materials included analyzing the attitude of those countries towards non-offensive defence. The compendium does not include material on non-military defence.
