Abstract
The report describes research and development activities on parametric frequency dividers carried out over the period 1981 to 1984. The behaviour of these devices is treated both by means of nonlinear differential equations and by numerical methods. In particular a computer-aided-design package capable of simulating and optimizing the performance of practical frequency dividers is discussed. The report concludes with a description of the design and performance of a novel crossbar frequency divider.
