Abstract
The analysis of signals obtained from Doppler ultrasonic investigations of bubble events in the bloodstream during decompression is examined. The statistics of the bubble transients are discussed leading to the definition of energy spectral density functions. The technique of transient analysis of bubble spectra (TABS) is presented as a means of providing the Doppler data in optimum form for bubble analysis. The audio data from two experiments are examined to provide experimental evidence of the usefulness of the TABS technique.
