Abstract
The report describes a mathematical model of human dyadic communication. The axiom underlying the model assumes a mutual interdependency of behavioural and psychophysiological parameters describing the members of the dyad. Subsequent development of the model suggests that degree of synchrony, a measurable quantity, is directly related to the transfer of information. A short review of relevant social psychological literature is included as well as a discussion of the applicability of the model to teleconferencing research.
