Abstract
The techniques required to manufacture a photoconductor-switched electroluminescent matrix panel suitable for a laser-addressed display were developed to the point where operational 2 in. by 2 in. panels containing 400 matrix elements were produced. The concept of light beam addressing of a modular screen reduced the number of external connections to two per module while permitting selective erase at the module level. Truncated
