- Abstract
- Aside from regular maintenance work, the aircraft nickel/cadmium battery shop is faced with the serious responsibility of ensuring that catastrophic battery failures will not likely take place on board the aircraft. The paper discusses the bases involved and introduces the equipment developed at DREO for carrying out the necessary measurements in a battery shop environment. Only preliminary testing of the system in an actual battery shop has been ca rried out to the date of writing the report.
