VAPOUR PRESSURE DETERMINATION BY DIFFERENTIAL SCANNING CALORIMETRY

Abstract
Various methods of measuring the vapour pressure curve of liquids and solids have been evaluated. The recently developed technique using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) has been used to determine the vapour pressure of small quantities of materials. Vapour pressure data of a variety of liquids and solids, obtained using DSC, will be presented and compared with that determined by other methods. The advantages of this technique are also discussed.
