Abstract
In support of Canadian Forces remotely piloted vehicle and drone research requirements, the Defence Research Establishment Suffield (DRES) has acquired an in-house expertise in aerial targets, drones and remotely piloted vehicle design, development and testing. Overviews of current range capabilities and proposed range improvement programs are given with emphasis on telemetry and video tracking capabilities, and on laboratory structural and engine testing facilities. Past and ongoing research programs are also reviewed.
