Abstract
An aerosol filter paper composed of Vinyon, viscose rayon, and Code 104 glass fibers has been developed. Laboratory handsheets had a filtration efficiency of 4.0 - 4.4. This was reduced somewhat when the paper was strengthened by adding rubber binders, increasing the weight, or by using more severe bonding conditions. Four lots of paper were prepared on an 18 inch Fourdrinier machine and a small number of respirator filter elements were successfully made from this paper.
