Protective Effect of Some Hydroamic Acids Derived from Pyridine Against VE Poisoning

Abstract
A series of hydroxamic acids, related to N-carbhydroxamidomethyl pyridinium chloride (CHAMP) has been synthesized. When injected subcutaneously most of these substances protected mice against an otherwise lethal dose of VE; a pronounced synergism was demonstrated between the protective actions of CHAMP and atropine.
