Abstract
A state of the art review of air pollution knowledge is provided. The topics include the nature of atmospheric contaminants, properties of typical aerosols, air pollution and weather, smog disasters with particular reference to London and Los Angeles, environmental studies using the Windsor-Detroit area as an example, interwaste reactions in the atmosphere, analytical methods and equipment used for monitoring air pollution, economic losses and pollution control trends.
