Abstract
A filter fluorometer for chemical dosimetry has been constructed which approaches the performance of a typical commercial grating fluorometer within a factor of three for the terephthalic acid - hydroxyterephthalic acid system and within a factor of two for the calcium benzoate - salicylic acid system. It has the advantage over a grating instrument of being simpler and cheaper but the disadvantages of being less flexible and requiring a larger volume of solution for its operation.
