Abstract
Discusses the principles of skip-lot sampling and then introduces three sampling frequency generating options that can be used with anyskip-lot sampling plan. The simplified Markov chain method and the sum of a geometric progression are used to derive the quality control properties for each sampling frequency option. The report concludes withsome guidance on when implementing a skip-lot sampling plan would be beneficial and which sampling frequency option is recommended for a given situation.
