Abstract
In order to provide air refuelling support to CF188 operations, maintain airlift capability, and contribute to the modernization of the Air Reserves, DND purchased five C130H Hercules tankers and outfitted them with Mk32B-751 Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) pods. The Directorate of Transport and Helicopter Engineering and Maintenance (DTHEM) has tasked the Directorate of Logistics Analysis (D Log A) to determine if the quantity of spares initially procured for the AAR Pods is adequate to maintain a 75% operational availability or should additional spares be procured.
