Abstract
A survey of current emerging technology in differential dynamic GPS positioning, particularly in the marine environment. GPS observable are outlined, and sources of error are described. Measures of accuracy for GPS positions are defined. The concepts of differential GPS are outlined, along with a description of algorithms and procedures. Measured performance of differential GPS systems are summarised, with emphasis new technology and algorithms. An extensive list of references is included.
