Abstract
Acoustic reflection data collected by the Defence Research Establishment Pacific in the Lincoln Sea during the Iceshelf programs of 1991 and 1992 is analyzed to derive the reflectivity of the ocean bottom as a function of the angle of incidence. This report details the methods and software developed during the contract. This work has produced a number of useful conclusions, and gives estimates of shear and compressional speeds, density, attenuation and layer thicknesses.
