Abstract
The Ship Area Air Defence Simulation (SAADS) model has been developed over several years by the Directorate of Maritime Operational Research (DMOR). The SAADS model provides a generalized overview of the defence capability of a group of ships defenced by guns and missiles and under attack by air to surface missiles. This report describes in detail the methods and procedures to assemble the input data, run the computer program, and interpret the results. Examples of input and output are given for two scenarios which may be used as test cases by new users.
