Abstract
The purpose of the study was to find a nutritional basis for the production of botulin Type A toxin and evidence concerning the existence of a "toxigenic factor", and to compare several metabolic activities of C. botulinum Type A strains in an attempt to find differences which might conceivably play a basic role in the biosynthesis of toxin.
