Abstract
A workshop was organized to discuss the integration of Human Factors Engineering (HFE) in the development of Command and Control Information Systems (CCIS) for the Canadian Forces in general and the DND project Artillery Regimental Data System/Advanced Development Model (ARDS/ADM) in particular. Specialists in the HFE and from the ARDS/ADM project team presented their views on how to apply HFE in system development. The workshop resulted in a list of identified key issues in HFE and a draft approach for HFE planning in CCIS.
