Abstract
The report describes the work performed to develop a computerized system for the analysis of acoustic radiation form submerged structures. The work concentrated on three aspects: (i) development of specialised finite element analysis capabilities, including the generation of structural mobility matrices, improvements in matrix reduction for substructure analysis, and improvements in matrix storage and file handling; (ii) analytical model generation for producing a substructured model of a radiating body; and (iii) acoustic radiation anlaysis system development which accounts for the structural response using the structural mobility matrix and uses a discretization of the surface Helmholtz integral equation and auxiliary equations formulated by discretizing the Helmholtz exterior equation for the fluid analysis.
