Abstract
It has been previously reported by Boyd (1) hat in sections of lungs of phosgenized rabbits and cats, the degree of pulmonary oedema varies inversely with the degree of contraction of teh pulmonary arter". Hence it was considered possible that a substance, Janus Green, which markedly constricts the pulmonary arteries might conceivably prevent death from phosgene poisoning.
