Abstract
Elastic-plastic crack growth resistance analyses are used extensively to characterize the fracture toughness of metals. A basic program has been developed which generates resistance curves using the standardization unloading compliance technique and three experimental calibration curve techniques. Example J-resistance curves generated using each method from a common HY-100 single edged-notched bend specimen load-CMOD displacement record are presented.
