Abstract
Magnetic field measurements of continuous wave 45 and 75 Hz transmissions from the SANGUINE test site in Wisconsin have been made in Alberta at range of 1560 km and in Ontario at 240 km. These measurements were found to be comparable to, or slightly higher than the corresponding set of calculated values based on multiple imaging, in the earth-ionosphere cavity, of the source treated as a horizontal electric dipole. This theoretical model, while not well suited to very long ranges, is considered adequate for the prediction of SANGUINE field strengths at points in Canada.
