Abstract
The program NS12D solves the two-dimensional laminar Navier-Stokes equations on aerofoil-type geometries. It was developed under contract to the University of Toronto. Prior to a second contract to extend NS12D by adding a turbulence model, the program was extensively revised to remedy some of its shortcommings: in particular, too restrictive topologies, and cumbersome and redundant code which is difficult to modify. This document describes the changes made to NS12D with emphasis on the modifications of data structures used to make the code more concise and more general.
