Abstract
The report summarizes a research contract to develop several programs for the acquisition and analysis of underwater acoustic data. The programs have been developed using the National Instruments' LabVIEW development system. Program functions are implemented as Virtual Instruments (VIs). VIs have been grouped into two main programs: Data Acquisition and Data Analysis. Collected data is stored in integer (.dat) and floating point file (.mfp) formats defined by DREA. Tradeoffs and major issues addressed during the research contract are discussed, and areas for future improvement are identified.
