Abstract
The report summarizes a research contract to develop several programs for the generation and transmission of sound pulse data files. The programs have been developed using the National Instruments' LabVIEW development system. Program functions are implemented as Virtual Instruments (VIs). VIs have been grouped into two main programs: Pulse genration and Pulse Transmission. Sound pulses are generated and saved to integer file (.dat) format defined by DREA. The sound pulses are read from file and transmitted according to a user specified schedule. System details are described, and areas for future improvement are identified.
