Abstract
The purpose of this investigation was to characterize the acoustic properties of ester-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU)/polyvinylchloride (PVC) blends as single and multiple layers. In this study, the experimental insertion loss spectra were compared with simulated spectra for individual layers and for a sample containing seven layers with PVC content varying from 0% to 60% through the layers.
