- Abstract
- The Quality Engineering Test Establishment (QETE) conducts experimental trials to determine if food products meet DND's shelf-life specifications. The are two concerns. The first is wether the quality of food deteriorates over time. The second is wether the level of quality after three years of ageing meets DND's rigorous quality specifications. The report describes methods that can be used to collect and analyze data that addresses the two concerns above. A computer program which can be used to carry out the statistical analysis is also described in this report. The report expands on the recommendations made in ORAE PR589 and was written as part of a Summer Defence Research Assistant Project, under the supervision of Mr. R. Burton.
