Abstract
Three wide-band technologies, namely, the acoustic-optic, the fibre-optic, and the folded spectrum have been singled out as possible candidates for use in modern radar signal processors. A comparative study of three technologies was performed. A short review of various one-dimensional and two-dimensional acoustio-optic processors was then carried out followed by derivation of equations describing the performance of the space-integrating and time-integrating processors in terms of the specified requirements.
