Abstract
The Radar Division of DREO has developed a Mutli-Target Tracking software testbed referred to as the Automatic Tracking Program (ATP) package, in order to process radar data in real time. The objective of the first phase of the project was to study and assess the ATP package in order to provide in-depth understanding of the limitations and problem area of the package. The objective of this second phase is to investigate alternative track initiation techniques based on Hough transform and sequential processing. These new techniques can be simulated and tested in the context of the ATP software environment. The purpose of the Task 1 is to give the functional requirements and the performance specifications of the existing and new track initiation modules. As a result of this work, the new track initiation modules will be developed and integrated into the framework of the ATP package during the Task 2. The performance of the new track initiation algorithms will be evaluated in the Task 3 and documented in the form of a report containing the simulation output and results of the analysis.
