Abstract
The project comprises the design, analyze, build and test of a tactical DF antenna operating in the frequency range from 30 to 500 MHz. The significant tasks for the project are the design and analysis of a 100 to 500 MHz. antenna element and array, characterization of the previously designed 30 to 90 MHz. array to 130 MHz., the design of a Butler Matrix beam forming network which combines the two bands and provides the necessary DF signals, and the mechanical and structural analysis and design required to provide a rugged, tactical and transportable package.
