Abstract
Defence Research Establishment Pacific (DREP) required the installation of a cable conduit across the sea (ice)/shore interface in the high Arctic on Ellesmere Island. Foundex Explorations Ltd, drilled a directionally controlled 4 1/2" hole from 10m above sea level and 100 m from the shoreline that exited approximately 150m out in the bay in 35m of water. This report describes the project and methodologies used.
