Abstract
The following report describes the work completed in the third call-up for localizing active pressure ridges in the Arctic. The technique of focalization is used which estimates source locations using matched field processing when the bottom bathymetry is only approximately known. Previously, the focalization technique searched for the range and relative strengths of multiple broad-band sources using only a vertical array while the bearing of sources was estimated using plane wave beamforming on an L-shaped horizontal array. Now, focalization is used to find the range, bearing and relative strength of all sources using both the vertical and horizontal arrays.
