Abstract
The geometric description of a generic Finned Explosively Formed Projectile is developed herein. Three-dimensional formulas of analytic geometry define the surface. The main body consists of a body of revolution while fins are extruded at the tail end of the projectile. The software program FinEFP uses the distance along the body axis of symmetry (%) and the roll angle (D) to compute the corresponding cartesian coordinates y and z. From this surface definition, a separate module generates a geometry definition file for the TASCflow3D grid generator. Several surface geometries are presented to demonstrate the capabilities of the software.
