Abstract
In order to ensure that composite structures have adequate electromagnetic (EM) shielding, a knowledge of the EM properties of anisotropic laminated materials is necessary. In this paper, we provide an overview of work we have carried out to measure the intrinsic EM sheilding properties of carbon and non-carbon epoxy laminates. These experimental results are compared with numerical results that have been calculated using the Method of Moments. Finally, results showing the effect of repair of carbon/epoxy composites on shielding properties are presented.
