Abstract
The report presents the April 1993 version of a working paper aimed at detailing the performance requirements for the Soldiers Helmet (Project L1939). The primary aim of this report is to bring forward the Human Factors requirements in the context of other performance and engineering requirements. The report highlights Human Factors requirements in the areas of secondary injury, head coverage, impact protection, sizing and fit, compatibility, stability, freedom of movement, ease of use, comfort, interference with hearing, interference with vision, maximum weight, center of gravity, maintainability, safety, and internal assembly effectiveness.
