Abstract
The research note documents the quantitative analysis done in support of a request by the Assistant Deputy Minister (Personnel) (ADM(PER)) to examine the impact of current and future reductions on the participation of female officers in the Canadian Forces (CF). The report presents a comparative analysis by occupational group, examining historical trends of officer demographics from 1984 to 1994, take-up rates under the Force Reduction Program (FRP) by gender, and projections of female participation based on reductions forecast in the Projected Status Report (PSBR).
