Abstract
The predicted substantial increase in student pilot flying at two CF training bases over the next few years is expected to increase the demands of the VFR controller's task to an unacceptable extent. A human engineering survey of VFR tower cabs on two CF flying training bases was conducted to produce recommendations for interim, low cost modifications which would help in reducing controller workload. Proposals for modifications in equipment, environment and procedures are detailed.
