Abstract
This document defines the requirements for the Space-Based Radar (SBR) Signal Processing Demonstrator (SPD) Testbed Subsystem. The requirements described within this document are the requirements allocated to the Testbed subsystem from the overall SPD system requirements. The SPD is a laboratory-based computer system for the demonstration and validation of radar signal processing algorithms and real-time digital signal processing hardware for SBR. The SPD consists of two subsystems: A Digital Signal Processor (DSP), and a Testbed. The Testbed subsystem provides the environment required to operate, test and demonstrate the DSP subsystem. It consists of a Radar Signal Simulator (RSS) and a Testbed Controller functional area. In principle, the Testbed is a complete test instrument capable of being used in conjunction with DSPs other than that developed under this contract.
