Abstract
This document defines and documents the detailed design of the Space-Based Radar (SBR) Signal Processing Demonstrator (SPD) Testbed Subsystem. The signal processing demonstrator is a laboratory-based computer system for the demonstration and validation of SBR signal processing algorithms and real-time digital signal processing hardware. The SPD consists of two subsytems: a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Subsystem, and Testbed Subsystem. The Testbed subsystem provides the environment required to operate, test and demonstrate the DSP subsystem. It consists of a Radar Signal Simulator (RSS) and a Testbed Controller. In principle, the Testbed is a complete test instrument capable of being used in conjunction with DSPs other than that developed under this contract.
